Welcome to the NCAA Tournament. NC State is making back-to-back appearances in the Big Dance for the first time since it did it in 2014 and 2015. The Wolfpack, the 11-seed in the South, will face 6-seed Texas Tech in the opening round of the tournament.  The two squads have met just once on the hardwood, but neither of the teams’ head coaches were alive when that happened. The Wolfpack downed the Red Raiders 85-74 on Dec. 18, 1954 in Raleigh.  Now that the two teams will square off for the first time in 69 years, here’s a look at Texas Tech’s team and how NC State stacks up against the Red Raiders ahead of the NCAA Tournament Round of 64 on Thursday night in Pittsburgh.
