The Wolfpacker’s Tuesday morning newsstand
NC State football is focussed on improving after its 21-20 win over East Carolina. Following an injury to tight end Trent Pennix, who will miss 4-6 weeks, the Wolfpack’s offensive depth chart has a new look to it.
Here’s an excerpt from The Wolfpacker’s story ‘NC State depth chart for Charleston Southern: Offense.’
H-Back
| No. | Name | Class | Ht., Wt. | Hometown |
| 29 | Christopher Toudle | R-So. | 6-4, 240 | Wilmington, N.C. |
| 48 | Fred Seabrough | R-Fr. | 6-4, 250 | Swainsboro, Ga. |
Toudle caught a 5-yard pass at East Carolina and played 23 snaps. Seabrough however did not see the field outside special teams.
Tight End
| No. | Name | Class | Ht., Wt. | Hometown |
| 47 | Cedric Seabrough | R-Fr. | 6-4, 245 | Swainsboro, Ga. |
| 87 | Kameron Walker | R-So. | 6-5, 250 | Camden, N.C. |
The loss of fifth-year redshirt junior Trent Pennix for 4-6 weeks with a non-surgical injury means that either Seabrough or Walker will make their first career start Saturday. Seabrough saw 17 plays Saturday while Walker had 14.
Our original pick for the backup spot, third-year redshirt freshman Ezemdi Udoh, is also a contender.
Left Tackle
| No. | Name | Class | Ht., Wt. | Hometown |
| 74 | Anthony Belton | R-So. | 6-6, 330 | Tallahassee, Fla. |
| 76 | Patrick Matan | R-Fr. | 6-4, 310 | Chevy Chase, Md. |
In his first start at NC State, Belton played all 70 snaps and graded out at 62.4 in the initial scores provided by Pro Football Focus (PFF). Around 64.0 is considered average.

Left Guard
| No. | Name | Class | Ht., Wt. | Hometown |
| 64 | Chandler Zavala | R-Sr. | 6-5, 325 | Boynton Beach, Fla. |
| 75 | Anthony Carter Jr. | R-Fr. | 6-3, 300 | Charlotte, N.C. |
Like Belton, Zavala played all 70 snaps on offense Saturday for the Wolfpack. Zavala received a score of 72.4 from PFF, fourth highest on the offense among players who participated in double-digit snaps.
Center
| No. | Name | Class | Ht., Wt. | Hometown |
| 50 | Grant Gibson | R-Sr. | 6-1, 310 | Charlotte, N.C. |
| 57 | Lyndon Cooper | R-Fr. | 6-2, 316 | Atlanta, Ga. |

Quote of the day
This quote is from Wolfpack football head coach Dave Doeren discussing last week’s victory in The Wolfpacker’s story ‘Dave Doeren wants better version of NC State this week.’
“There’s no such thing as an ugly win,” Doeren insisted. “Nobody discredits you for winning a football game at the end of the season in any form or fashion.”
