NC State Newsstand: WR KC Concepcion named to Biletnikoff Preseason Watch List

After an impressive freshman campaign at NC State, sophomore wideout Kevin “KC” Concepcion was named to the 2024 Biletnikoff Award Preseason Watch List this week.
Concepcion, the reigning ACC Rookie of the Year and Offensive Rookie of the Year, set the NC State freshman record for receiving touchdowns (10) and receptions (71) last fall. He also logged 839 receiving yards, which were the 14th-most in program history and the second-best mark by a freshman.
The Charlotte, N.C., native also had the 10th-best mark in the ACC for all-purpose yards a game (89.2)
Concepcion garnered freshman All-America honors from FWAA, The Athletic, Pro Football Focus and On3 last season.

Now, as Concepcion looks to follow that campaign up this fall, he was a Preseason All-ACC selection, in addition to the watch list nod. The Biletnikoff Award semifinalists will be announced Nov. 18, while the three finalists will be unveiled Nov. 26. The award winner will be released during the Home Depot College Football Award Show on Dec. 12.

Quote of the day
Wolfpack safety Donovan Kaufman has had a new defensive coordinator in all five seasons of his collegiate career. The former Auburn transfer has had no issues in transitioning to the Wolfpack.
“He’s had to learn a new language every year, so it’s easy for him to adjust,” NC State coach Dave Doeren said. “That’s one thing as a coach you can’t do, you can’t make a player more experienced. That’s the value of bringing an older player in. Even though you may have a talented young guy, he won’t have the game reps and learning from success and failure.”
