For much of NC State offensive coordinator Robert Anae’s career, his flex-y tight ends have found immense success. It was Keytaon Thompson at Virginia and Oronde Gadsden had eye-popping numbers in Anae’s lone season at Syracuse. Now, as Anae enters his second season on the controls of the Wolfpack’s offense, he has an opportunity to replicate that production with UConn transfer Justin Joly.  Joly, who was the No. 2 tight end available in the past transfer portal cycle, flashed his pass-catching ability a year ago with the Huskies. He logged 56 receptions for 578 yards and two touchdowns, all career-bests.  But in Raleigh, Joly has turned into a human sponge. He is adamant of becoming the next great flex-y to come out of Anae’s system, and Joly is doing everything he can to learn from the 36-year grizzled veteran.
