After spending three seasons with NC State, Cedd Seabrough is looking for a new collegiate home for his final two seasons of eligibility. The redshirt tight end announced his intention to enter the transfer portal Tuesday night on social media.
Seabrough enters the portal after playing 7 offensive snaps this season. He was also an integral part of the Wolfpack’s kick return and field goal kicking teams. The 6-4, 245-pound tight end played a total of 105 snaps this fall before opting to enter the portal.
He announced his decision on X, the social media platform formerly known as Twitter.
“Dear NC State, I am writing to formally extend my heartfelt gratitude for the remarkable opportunity to play at the collegiate level representing NC State,” Seabrough wrote.” This experience has been extraordinary alongside my teammates and the coaching staff.
“After much prayer and careful consideration, I have decided to navigate and explore other opportunities in my athletic career. This decision has not come easy, however it is vital for my athletic advancement. For that reason, I will be entering my name in the transfer portal.
“I am sincerely thankful for the support and encouragement that I have received from the coaching staff, my teammates, and the community. Your unwavering belief in me has given me the courage and strength to pursue my dreams.
“I am looking forward to the opportunities that lie ahead of me. Thank you again for the continued support as I take on this new journey.”
