NC State vs. Campbell game notes

– This is the first-ever meeting between NC State and Campbell. The two teams are separated by just 35 miles in Raleigh and Buies Creek, N.C., but the FCS Camels have never had a chance to square off with the Wolfpack until now. Campbell is scheduled to return to Carter-Finley Stadium in 2028 as well.

– NC State redshirt sophomore running back Hollywood Smothers has three 100-yard rushing games this season, tied for the third-most in Power Conference football. He became the first Wolfpack running back to have three straight such games since Nyheim Hines did so in 2017.

– Wolfpack sophomore quarterback CJ Bailey boasts a .728 completion rate this season, which is the second-best in the ACC and 11th-best in all of FBS football. If he were to stay on this pace, Bailey would edge Philip Rivers, who owns the program’s single-season record with a .721 mark from the 2003 campaign.
