NC State’s offense has struggled the last few years with connecting on home-run balls. Redshirt sophomore wide receiver Noah Rogers made his reputation in high school on his proclivity in catching deep bombs. Rogers had two big-play receptions last year, catching a 75-yard touchdown against Syracuse in a 24-17 loss Oct. 13, 2024, and his famous 44-yard grab against North Carolina on first and 20 that helped set up the game-winning touchdown in the 35-30 win over North Carolina on Nov. 30. The 6-foot-2, 205-pound Rogers finished his first season with 35 receptions for 478 yards and the one touchdown against the Orange. NC State will need more from Rogers to live up to its offensive potential under new coordinator Kurt Roper.
