Pack Pros: OT Ikem Ekwonu posts season-best run blocking mark
It was another full weekend of NFL football, which means NC State’s Pack Pros were all in action for their respective teams, which included a standout day in run blocking for offensive tackle Ikem Ekwonu.
Here’s a look at how the Pack Pros did in their games this weekend.
Center Garrett Bradbury (played at NC State from 2015-18), #56 Minnesota Vikings: Bradbury played all 53 snaps on offense in the Vikings’ 33-10 loss to the Green Bay Packers on Sunday Night Football.
Quarterback Jacoby Brissett (2014-15), #12 Washington Commanders: Brissett did not play in the Commanders’ 27-10 loss to the San Francisco 49ers.
Outside linebacker Bradley Chubb (2014-17), #2 Miami Dolphins: Chubb logged six total tackles, including three solo stops, in the Dolphins 56-19 loss to the Baltimore Ravens. He also had one tackle for a loss and a quarterback hit. Chubb left the game early with what was initially diagnosed as a significant knee injury.
Punter A.J. Cole III (2015-18), #6 Las Vegas Raiders: Cole recorded five punts for 187 yards, an average of 37.4 yards per attempt, in the Raiders’ 23-20 loss to the Indianapolis Colts. He had four kicks inside the 20-yard line and a long of 56 yards.
Offensive tackle Ikem Ekwonu (2019-21), #79 Carolina Panthers: Ekwonu played all 54 offensive snaps in the Panthers’ 26-0 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars. He logged the team’s highest Pro Football Focus grade on offense with a 83.5 overall mark, including a 93.9 score in run blocking, a season best for the tackle.
Punter Trenton Gill (2018-21), #16 Chicago Bears: Gill logged four punts for 195 yards in the Bears’ 37-17 win over the Atlanta Falcons. He averaged 48.8 yards per attempt with one touchback. He also had a long of 53 yards in the victory.
Defensive lineman B.J. Hill Jr. (2014-17), #92 Cincinnati Bengals: Hill recorded three total tackles, including two solo stops, in the Bengals’ 25-17 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs against a pair of fellow Pack Pros on offense. He had two quarterback hits in the defeat.
RB Nyheim Hines (2015-17), #0 Buffalo Bills: Hines is out for the season with an injury suffered over the offseason.
Safety Tanner Ingle (2018-22), #34 Los Angeles Rams : Ingle is on the Rams’ practice squad.
Defensive tackle Justin Jones (2014-17), #93 Chicago Bears: Jones logged one tackle in the Bears’ 37-17 win over the Atlanta Falcons.
Linebacker Vi Jones (2019-21), Seattle Seahawks: Jones was waived off of injured reserve by the Seahawks following an injury settlement.
Running back Zonovan Knight (2019-21), #28 Detroit Lions: Knight is out for the rest of the season with a shoulder injury. He had one catch for eight yards, and three carries for 13 yards in his two appearances with the Lions this season.
Cornerback Nick McCloud (2016-19, finished at Notre Dame), #44 New York Giants: McCloud recorded eight total tackles, the second-most on the team, in the Giants’ 26-25 loss to the Los Angeles Rams. He had six solo stops in the defeat.
Defensive tackle T.Y. McGill Jr. (2011-14), #96 San Francisco 49ers: McGill logged one quarterback hit in the 49ers’ 33-19 loss to the Baltimore Ravens.
Defensive tackle Alim McNeill (2018-20), #54 Detroit Lions: McNeill did not play in the Lions’ 20-19 loss to the Dallas Cowboys on Saturday Night Football. He has been on injured reserve for the past four weeks.
Wide receiver Jakobi Meyers (2016-18), #16 Las Vegas Raiders: Meyers recorded six receptions for 56 yards in the Raiders’ 23-20 loss to the Indianapolis Colts.

Wide receiver Marquez Valdes-Scantling (2013-14, Finished at USF), #11 Kansas City Chiefs: Valdes-Scantling recorded one catch for three yards in the Chiefs’ 25-17 win over the Cincinnati Bengals.
