Pack pros: Jakobi Meyers paces Las Vegas Raiders to Monday Night Football victory

It was another full weekend of NFL football, which means NC State’s Pack pros were all in action for their respective teams, which included another standout night from wide receiver Jakobi Meyers. 

Here’s a look at how the Pack pros did in their games this weekend.

Center Garrett Bradbury (played at NC State from 2015-18), Minnesota Vikings: Bradbury returned to the field for the first time since week 1 as he’s been dealing with a back injury. He played 71 snaps in the Vikings’ 27-20 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs. He posted an 82.0 offensive grade, according to Pro Football Focus. 

Quarterback Jacoby Brissett (2014-15), Washington Commanders: Brissett is the Commanders’ primary backup, and did not see action in the team’s 40-20 loss to the Chicago Bears on Thursday night. 

Outside linebacker Bradley Chubb (2014-17), Miami Dolphins: Chubb logged seven tackles, including five solo, in the Dolphins’ 31-16 win over the New York Giants. He recorded one tackle for a loss and a quarterback hit in the team’s fourth win of the season. 

Punter A.J. Cole III (2015-18), Las Vegas Raiders: The former Wolfpack specialist punted for times in the Raiders’ 17-14 win over the Green Bay Packers on Monday night. He averaged 47.3 yards per punt and had all four of his kicks land inside the 20-yard line. His longest boot was 55 yards. 

Offensive tackle Ikem Ekwonu (2019-21), Carolina Panthers: Ekwonu played 71 snaps in the Panthers’ 42-24 loss to the Detroit Lions alongside fellow Pack Pro Chandler Zavala. Ekwonu posted a 76.2 offensive grade, according to PFF. 

Punter Trenton Gill (2018-21), Chicago Bears: Gill recorded three punts in the Bears’ 40-20 win over the Washington Commanders on Thursday night. He averaged 43.7 yards per punt, landed one inside the 20-yard line, and had a long of 47.

Defensive lineman B.J. Hill Jr. (2014-17), Cincinnati Bengals: BJ Hill did not have a tackle in the Bengals’ 34-20 win over the Arizona Cardinals, but he did log two quarterback hits. 

RB Nyheim Hines (2015-17), Buffalo Bills: Hines is out for the season with an injury suffered over the offseason. 

Safety Tanner Ingle, Los Angeles Rams (2018-22): Ingle is on the Rams’ practice squad.

Defensive tackle Justin Jones (2014-17), Chicago Bears: Jones recorded one tackle and added a pass breakup and two quarterback hits in the Bears’ 40-20 win over the Washington Commanders on Thursday night. 

Linebacker Vi Jones (2019-21), Seattle Seahawks: Jones was waived off of injured reserve by the Seahawks following an injury settlement.

Running back Zonovan Knight (2019-21), Detroit Lions: Knight logged one reception for eight yards in the Lions’ 42-24 win over the Carolina Panthers.

Cornerback Nick McCloud (2016-19, finished at Notre Dame), New York Giants: McCloud played one snap at safety for the Giants in the team’s 31-16 loss to the Miami Dolphins. 

Defensive tackle T.Y. McGill Jr. (2011-14), San Francisco 49ers: McGill plays on the 49ers practice squad.

Defensive tackle Alim McNeill (2018-20), Detroit Lions: McNeill posted three tackles, two solo, in the Lions’ 42-24 win over the Carolina Panthers. 

Wide receiver Jakobi Meyers (2016-18), Las Vegas Raiders: Meyers had a standout performance in prime time. He helped pace the Raiders to a 17-13 day with seven receptions for 75 yards and a touchdown on 10 targets. 

Defensive tackle Larrell Murchison (2018-19), Los Angeles Rams: Murchison logged two tackles, both solo, including a tackle for a loss in the Rams’ 23-14 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles. 

Cornerback Derrek Pitts Jr. (2021-22), Tampa Bay Buccaneers: The Tampa Bay Bucaneers were on a bye this week.

Linebacker Germaine Pratt (2014-18), Cincinnati Bengals: Pratt led the Bengals with 10 tackles, including two tackles for a loss, and had a pass breakup in the team’s 34-20 win over the Arizona Cardinals. 

Defensive end James Smith-Williams (2016-19), Washington Commanders: Smith-Williams recorded two tackles in the Commanders’ 40-20 loss to the Chicago Bears on Thursday night. 

Defensive lineman Kentavius Street (2014-17), Philadelphia Eagles: Street logged one tackle in the Eagles’ 23-14 win over the Los Angeles Rams. 

Linebacker Drake Thomas (2019-22), Seattle Seahawks: Seattle was on a bye week, and Thomas attended NC State’s 48-41 win over Marshall on Saturday afternoon. 

Wide receiver Thayer Thomas (2017-22), Minnesota Vikings: Thomas is on the Vikings’ practice squad.

Offensive guard Joe Thuney (2012-15), Kansas City Chiefs: Thuney played 66 snaps at left guard for the Chiefs in the team’s 27-20 win over the Minnesota Vikings. He posted a 69.9 offensive grade, according to PFF. 

Wide receiver Marquez Valdes-Scantling (2013-14, Finished at USF), Kansas City Chiefs: Valdes-Scantling logged one reception for 12 yards on two targets in the Chiefs’ 27-20 win over the Minnesota Vikings on the offense with fellow Pack Pro Joe Thuney. 

Quarterback Russell Wilson (2007-09/Finished at Wisconsin), Denver Broncos: Wilson was 20-of-31 passing for 196 yards with two touchdowns in the Broncos’ 31-21 loss to the New York Jets. He fumbled the ball with less than a minute to go, which the Jets turned for a touchdown to seal the contest. 

Offensive guard Chandler Zavala (2021-22), Carolina Panthers: Zavala left the Panthers’ 42-20 loss to the Detroit Lions early with a neck injury. He was transported to a local hospital, but flew back to Charlotte on the team plane.
