After breaking out for his first 1,000 yard receiving season in his seventh year in the NFL last fall, NC State Pack Pro wideout Jakobi Meyers picked up where he left off in Week 1.

Meyers, who spent four years with the New England Patriots before starring for the Las Vegas Raiders over the past two seasons, returned to Gillette Stadium for the first time. And, well, he was impressive in the Raiders’ 20-13 win over the Patriots on a rainy Sunday afternoon in Foxboro, Mass.

The 6-foot-2, 193-pound route runner caught eight passes for 97 yards on 10 targets as Las Vegas’ second-leading receiver in the season-opening victory. Meyers averaged 12.1 yards per catch, while he had a long of 24 yards against his former team.

Although Meyers looked good to begin the 2025 campaign, he did request a trade earlier this summer after the Raiders didn’t reach an agreement for an extension. He, however, seemed to quell that request in the postgame locker room following his standout performance.

“I’m happy to be a Raider,” Meyers said. “Wherever the job takes me or whoever needs me to win, whoever wants me to be there, I’ll be there.”

For now, that’s in Sin City, where Meyers will continue to be one of the team’s go-to playmakers with quarterback Geno Smith and coach Pete Carroll leading the way.

While Meyers nearly had a 100-yard effort to open the new season, he wasn’t the only Pack Pro in action this weekend. There are more than a dozen former Wolfpack players on NFL active rosters to begin the 2025 season. Here’s a rundown of all the former NC State stars and how they did in Week 1 of NFL action.
