NC State is back home for the first time in nearly a month after being sent on the road due to the state fair being in town. With that comes a tough test as No. 8 Georgia Tech visits Carter-Finley Stadium on Saturday night (7:30 p.m., ESPN2).

This episode of The Wolfpacker Show previews the matchup between the Yellow Jackets and Wolfpack as Jackets Online’s Kelly Quinlan gave his thoughts on Georgia tech.

On this episode:

– Quinlan opened his guest appearance on the show with his overall vibes around the program at Georgia Tech after the Yellow Jackets have won each of their first eight games this season. The team is fresh 3-0 on the road this season, including a 27-18 win at Duke two weeks ago.

– Georgia Tech quarterback Haynes King is the engine that makes the team run. Quinlan broke down why the running signal-caller has been effective — and why he seems to get even better once he starts limping.

– While King leads the Yellow Jackets’ rushing attack with 651 yards, the team has the second-best ground game in the ACC as he’s aided by a standout tailback duo in Malachi Hosley and Jamal Haynes. Quinlan talked about how that trio has made one of the conference’s best rushing attacks this fall.

– Although Georgia Tech thrives on the ground, can it exploit NC State’s injured secondary that struggled to stop Pitt’s aerial attack last week? Quinlan believed so and he explained who else on the Yellow Jackets’ offense will pose a threat this weekend.

– Georgia Tech’s defense, meanwhile, doesn’t have the star power of its offense. Quinlan discussed what has been the team’s biggest issue this season, while it is stout inside the red zone. He pointed out a few spots on the defense the Yellow Jackets have struggled at this fall.

– Before Quinlan’s segment ended, he gave the key to the game for Georgia Tech to find a way to keep its unblemished record intact at Carter-Finley Stadium.

– After the guest appearance, Noah gave his score prediction for the clash with Georgia Tech NC State is currently a one-score underdog, according to BetMGM. Will the Wolfpack cover that spread?
