NC State football engineered a 35-31 comeback win over Virginia on Saturday afternoon at Carter-Finley Stadium. The Wolfpack improved to 2-0 after downing the Cavaliers for the fourth straight time under coach Dave Doeren.

The Wolfpacker Show is back to break down the team’s victory over Virginia, as well as touch on a few of NC State’s Olympic sports on campus.

In this Wolfpacker Show episode:

Noah opened the show with a high-level view of how the Pack was able to turn the game around at halftime after falling behind by 10 through the first two quarters. The Wolfpack defense allowed the Cavaliers to go 10-for-13 on third-down conversions in the first half before it limited Virginia to just 3-for-6 in the second half.

– What was the most impressive part of NC State’s comeback fashion? Noah approaches that and how it came about in the win.

– Just before going to commercial break, Noah broke down four numbers to know from the Wolfpack’s victory. He explained each figure and why it was important — including one statistic that proves the Pack’s defense has more to work on going into its Week 3 bout at Wake Forest on Thursday night.

– Noah then gave out three game balls to the Pack’s top performers in the game. This week’s top players were easy choices to make as the Wolfpack dominated on the ground, while its defense made timely stops when it was needed most.

– To wrap up the show, Noah highlighted No. 5 men’s soccer and the Wolfpack volleyball programs as they have both hit the ground running to open their respective seasons this fall.
