NC State has become accustomed to having high-level punters within the program over the years. It churned out a pair of NFL punters in recent years with AJ Cole III, a two-time All-Pro selection with the Las Vegas Raiders, while Trenton Gill was in the league for three years between time with the Chicago Bears and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.  Those two punters set a high bar for redshirt senior Caden Noonkester, who has been the Wolfpack’s go-to specialist in flipping the field over the past three years. So far this fall, Noonkester has been effective with 13 attempts for 583 total yards, an average of 44.8 yards per attempt — the fourth-best mark in the ACC through the first three games.  NC State coach Dave Doeren, though, felt like Noonkester has room to grow over the course of the Wolfpack's final nine regular season games in his last year of eligibility.
