Top-5 CB Xavier Hasan intrigued by NC State, includes Wolfpack in top 12

The last eight months have been a whirlwind for Raleigh (N.C.) Cardinal Gibbons four-star cornerback Xavier Hasan. NC State was the first power conference team to extend an offer to him, which eventually led to nearly every major program jumping into his recruitment.  Now, the No. 5 cornerback in the 2027 cycle is one of the most-coveted recruits in the nation. And he plays his high school football across the street from Carter-Finley Stadium.  Although plenty of the name-brand college football programs are firmly in the mix for Hasan, who released a top 12 Sunday — Duke, Georgia, Florida, Florida State, NC State, Notre Dame, Oregon, Ohio State, Penn State, South Carolina, Tennessee and UNC — the Wolfpack remains at top of mind for the country’s No. 55 recruit.
