Gunner Rivers plays QB for St. Michael Catholic in Fairhope, Ala.

Fairhope (Ala.) St. Michael Catholic four-star quarterback Gunner Rivers is one of NC State’s top priority prospects in the 2027 recruiting class. Although his recruitment has been kept eerily quiet as he’s not on social media like most other top-300 recruits in the nation, Rivers is among the top junior quarterbacks in the nation. He ranks as the No. 78 prospect in the entire 2027 class and the No. 7 single-caller, according to the Rivals Industry Ranking, but what is it like to actually play with him?
