BREAKING: Top '25 QB Will Wilson commits to NC State

NC State kicked off its 2025 recruiting class early with a commitment from top priority quarterback Will Wilson. The rising junior signal-caller announced Saturday evening that he is shutting down his recruitment and joining the Wolfpack.
He is the program’s first commitment of the 2025 class, picking NC State over Penn State, South Carolina, TCU and others. The Wolfpack was the first program to offer the 6-1, 215-pound Columbia (SC) Richlands Northeast High signal-caller and steadily maintained that relationship for nearly a year leading up to his decision.
Wilson announced the commitment via Twitter with a simple message for Wolfpack nation: “I’m home!!!!”
NC State hosted him most recently for a camp June 17, and he also stopped by campus unofficially March 24. He recapped that spring trip with TheWolfpacker.com.
“It was a really good one!” Wilson said. “I got a chance to sit down with Coach Roper and got a better feel about him as a coach. I also I had chance to sit down with Coach Doeren and talk too. We toured campus a little bit and talked about what the university had to offer outside of football and then we watched practice.”
The quarterback also camped at NC State for the 2022 Alpha Wolf Showcase, and he earned his Wolfpack offer just offer one month later. Quarterbacks coach Kurt Roper is his primary recruiter. NC State has offered four quarterbacks in the 2025 class, but Wilson has been a clear priority for nearly a year.
