Notre Dame enters step two of its six-game home stand at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, taking on The Citadel. Even though the Irish lost the first leg of the long stretch of games at Purcell Pavilion — a 72-68 overtime defeat at the hands of Georgetown on Saturday — it’s still good to be home.

That goes especially for a team trying to find its footing after a rocky start to the season and a loss that it felt it should have won.

“It’s really beneficial,” junior guard Julian Roper II said after the Georgetown game. “I was surprised to see that many people come out tonight, and hopefully they just keep coming.”

The 4-6 Irish now have to bounce back, which they have done before under more difficult circumstances. Less than 24 hours after getting blown out by Auburn on Nov. 16 in Brooklyn, N.Y., Notre Dame won a tough overtime game over Oklahoma State. That was a Power Five opponent on a neutral site, and this is a buy game.

“We’ve been in this moments,” Irish head coach Micah Shrewsberry said Saturday. “We had a chance to lay down in this game, and we came back again. They bounce back. They show up every single day.”

Here’s everything you need to know about Notre Dame’s Tuesday night battle with The Citadel, including a special offer from Fubo.

Matchup Notables

• The Citadel plays in the Southern Conference (or SoCon). It’s the same conference as Western Carolina, who beat Notre Dame in South Bend on Nov. 11.

• The Bulldogs are 6-5, including 1-4 on the road. They lost to North Carolina State, Boston College and Presbyterian to start the season 0-3, and they’re coming off a loss to College of Charleston. The Citadel’s leading scorer is sophomore guard AJ Smith at 16.6 points per game.

• Notre Dame freshman guard and leading scorer Markus Burton is coming off a signature performance late against Georgetown, finishing with 17 points and almost willing the Irish to a win after he started slow offensively. He scored 20 against Marquette on Dec. 9 as well.
