The pass never stood a chance. On Saturday, during Notre Dame's annual Blue-Gold Game, Irish quarterback Drew Pyne threw a screen pass to Michael Mayer. It went right over his head, and for the second time in the first half, Pyne was intercepted. As it goes in the Blue-Gold Game, the result wasn't all bad. What was Pyne's blunder was linebacker Marist Liufau's treasure, as the senior notched the pick.
