The All-American Bowl is honoring prospects who are committed to playing in the prestigious postseason all-star game as part of a virtual jersey presentation. And three Notre Dame commits were honored on a few days ago.

Charlotte (N.C.) Christian EDGE Bryce Young, Lufkin (Texas) High running back Kedren Young and West Roxbury (Mass.) Catholic Memorial offensive tackle Guerby Lambert officially became a part of the All-American Bowl family, receiving their jerseys during a virtual presentation as part of the seventh week of the Road to the Dome digital series.

Having been selected to play in the twenty-fourth edition of the All-American Bowl, the trio of soon-to-be Irish signees will suit up in the annual East vs. West matchup inside the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas. The All-American Bowl on January 6, 2024 will be presented live on NBC and Peacock.

The All-American Bowl always has Notre Dame players, and in previous weeks, Bellflower (Calif.) St. John Bosco linebacker Kyngstonn Viliamu-Asa and Glen Ellyn (Ill.) Glenbard South five-star wideout and Irish pledge Cam Williams received their jerseys.

The Irish will have the five players mentioned in this article in the all-star game. Saline (Mich.) High’s CJ Carr was invited to it, but he declined, as he started practicing with the Notre Dame football team last Saturday.

Young ranks as the nation’s No. 84 overall prospect and No. 8 EDGE according to the 2024 On3 Industry Ranking. The son of Notre Dame legend Bryant Young picked the Irish over Tennessee, Michigan, USC and many others back in April.

Lambert took summer official visits to Boston College, Notre Dame, Ohio State and Harvard before making his choice to pick the Fighting Irish early in the fall. The 6-6, 290-pounder ranks as the No. 37 overall prospect and No. 4 offensive tackle in the land per the 2024 On3 Industry Ranking. Lambert was named the Massachusetts Catholic Conference Lineman of the Year for the second consecutive season.

Young picked Notre Dame over Texas Tech, Texas A&M, Texas, Missouri, Baylor, Michigan and a handful of others back in June. He ranks as the No. 108 overall prospect and No. 9 running back in the land according to the 2024 On3 Industry Ranking. Young is Lufkin High’s all-time rushing leader.

The players mentioned in this article are all expected to ink with Notre Dame Wednesday on National Signing Day.

National Signing Day is the first day football recruits can sign their National Letter of Intent (NLI), a binding agreement between a prospective student-athlete and an NLI member institution. When a student-athlete signs an NLI, they agree to attend the school full-time for one academic year (two semesters).

There are two National Signing Days for FBS and FCS schools. The first one, which kicks off on Dec. 20, is the most utilized by Power Five football recruits.

The first National Signing Day —known as the early period — begins Wednesday at 7 a.m. in the recruit’s time zone and lasts until 11:59 p.m. on Friday. The second National Signing Day — the regular period — is from Feb. 7 to April 1.

Notre Dame expects to sign all 23 verbal commitments during the early signing period.
