Bleacher Report: Notre Dame 26, Clemson 21

“Since the overtime loss to Florida State, Clemson has topped 20 points just once and hasn’t cracked 400 yards. Notre Dame, meanwhile, has been a consistently above-average defense and excelled in recent wins over USC and Pitt. Clemson still has plenty of talent despite its record and is at home, but trends favor ND heavily.” — David Kenyon

Bruce Feldman: Clemson 24, Notre Dame 20

“Dabo got really feisty on his radio show and stood up for himself and his program. The hunch here is his players back him up in a big way to pull the upset against the Irish.” — Feldman

Stewart Mandel: Notre Dame 21, Clemson 14

“Notre Dame’s 35-14 smackdown of Clemson in South Bend last November marked the beginning of the Tigers’ current spiral. They were 8-0 going into that game. They are 7-7 since. We know there’s still talent there, enough to take Florida State to overtime earlier this season, but they haven’t inspired confidence at any point in the last month.” — Mandel

Jerry Palm, CBS Sports: Notre Dame -3

“Clemson has had a rough go of things lately. The Tigers have lost two straight and sit at 4-4 on the season. Two of their losses have come in overtime, so they have been in most of those games. The Fighting Irish are on a roll though, having dominated USC and Pitt in their last two games. The demolition of the Trojans’ offense was particularly effective. I expect Notre Dame to get a fight but extend Clemson’s woes.” — Palm

The Sporting News: Irish 31, Tigers 24

“The Irish’s tough schedule continues with a stop at Clemson – and last year’s 35-14 victory is easy to remember. Clemson has scored 20 points or less in its last three games and has a -5 turnover ratio. Death Valley is never a guarantee, but Sam Hartman, a strong running game with Audric Estime and a defense that has forced 10 turnovers in its last two games should be enough.” — Bill Bender
