It’s almost Christmas, and Notre Dame women’s basketball still only has one blemish on its ledger. The Fighting Irish finish the pre-holiday slate with a home game against Western Michigan on Thursday.

Here’s how to watch, including via a special offer from Fubo.

Matchup notables

• Notre Dame leads the all-time series 10-0 and won the last meeting 85-57 in South Bend on Dec. 21, 2022.

• The Fighting Irish are averaging 90.3 points per game and allowing 57.9 points per game this season. The Broncos are averaging 61.9 points per game and allowing 64.6 points per game. Notre Dame had back-to-back 100-plus point games earlier this season for the first time since 2012. The Irish have held two opponents below 40 points in the same season for the first time since 2015.

• Notre Dame freshman point guard Hannah Hidalgo has had two games with at least 25 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 steals. Nobody else in the country has multiple games with that stat line. Hidalgo leads the entire country at 6.1 steals per game.

• Senior center Nat Marshall leads the ACC with 30 rebounds off the bench. She’s been clutch for the Irish in a stretch in which the team is severely low on available players. Fellow senior post player Maddy Westbeld has been a staple for the Irish in that regard, too. She has started all 95 games played in her career. She’s averaging 14.2 points and a team-high 9.9 rebounds per game this season.

• Western Michigan is led in scoring by senior guard Kaitlyn Zarycki at 16.4 points per game. It’s a homecoming of sorts for the Niles, Mich., native. Niles is closer in proximity to South Bend than it is Kalamazoo. Hidalgo leads Notre Dame at 23.6 points per game, meanwhile. She has only scored fewer than 20 in one of nine games to begin her career.
