Ohio State Video Review, Part II: Dwayne Haskins puts maturity, mobility on display
The film room at Lettermen Row HQ is once again open for business breaking down Ohio State. Welcome back as our inside look at the Buckeyes continues with another look at new starting quarterback Dwayne Haskins.

Obviously, there’s no better place to start than the most important position on the field, and that goes double with Haskins now ready to take the reins from J.T. Barrett and lead the Ohio State offense. There isn’t all that much film to work with at this point when it comes to the rocket-armed passer, but his relief appearance last November on the road, in the cold and against one of the toughest defensive units in the country is plenty useful.
After leading a go-ahead drive in the third quarter and with Barrett unable to return in the fourth, Haskins was tasked with both trying to extend the Ohio State lead and work on the clock down the stretch when the stakes could not have been any higher. He delivered a crucial third-down conversion shortly after coming off the bench, and here in the fourth quarter, Haskins once again faced a critical situation to move the chains.
Needing at least four yards to extend the drive, Haskins felt immediate pressure coming from his left side, rolled to his right and looked for a streaking K.J. Hill on a drag route across the field. What were the Buckeyes seeing defensively? How impressive was the poise for Haskins under some duress? Is he getting enough credit for his mobility at that quarterback spot?
