COLUMBUS — Josh Simmons had offers from Georgia, Michigan, Oklahoma, USC, UCLA, Washington, Penn State, Oregon and the list goes on. Justin Frye, now in his second year at Ohio State, was still the offensive line coach at UCLA during Simmons' recruitment. Frye was competing with a horde of other Power Five assistants for the 6-foot-6 prospect, who was the No. 31 California recruit in the 2021 class, according to the On3 Industry Ranking.
