2025 Egg Bowl game time revealed for Ole Miss vs. Mississippi State

Ole Miss will face Mississippi State in the 2025 Egg Bowl in Starkville, Miss. on Fri., Nov. 28 at 11 a.m. CT, it was announced on Thursday. TV coverage will be announced at a later date.
Ole Miss has won two straight Egg Bowls, including last season’s 26-14 win in Oxford. Lane Kiffin’s team has won four of the last five rivalry matchups. The Rebels lead the series, 66-47-6.
Ole Miss currently has the fourth-best odds to be the SEC Champion at +1100 while the Rebels sit with the ninth-best odds (+2200) of hoisting up the College Football Playoff National Championship trophy come January 19.
Ole Miss opens up the 2025 season on August 30, hosting Georgia State.
It’s been a terrific time to be a Rebel. Kiffin’s football program had eight players selected in the 2025 NFL Draft, a program record since the institution of the seven-round format in 1994.
“It’s been an amazing five years,” Ole Miss head coach Lane Kiffin told Matt DeGregorio of WLOX at a recent Grove Collective Caravan stop. “Won a lot of games, made a lot of great relationships with people there, with people at the university.

“So many players come in, so many just got drafted and moved on to NFL teams. I think it’s like 20 signed. It’s been a great run.”
Ole Miss quarterback Austin Simmons received playing time for the first time in his career last season, but now, he’s the starter. He completed 19 of 32 passes for 282 yards and two touchdowns in nine games. He also rushed five times for 14 yards.
“I think he handled it well,” Ole Miss linebacker TJ Dottery said of Simmons’ performance this spring. “I think he’s been very mature about it. He’s been here a while, but he’s still young. He’s been able to handle it with maturity and been confident. He got a taste of it last year, but now him every day being a leader, it’s been awesome to see him grow.”
Simmons replaces Jaxson Dart, who landed with the New York Giants as a 1st round pick. Even without Dart, the expectations for Ole Miss don’t change.
