2027 LHP Cooper Giger commits to Ole Miss Baseball

2027 Petal (Miss.) left-handed pitcher Cooper Giger announced on Wednesday he’s committed to Ole Miss Baseball. He’s fresh off a visit to Oxford last weekend and didn’t take long to make his commitment.
“Incredibly grateful and blessed to be continuing my athletic and academic career at The University of Mississippi,” Giger wrote in his post.
When listing the top-25 max fastball velocities from Prep Baseball Mississippi’s 2025 summer event schedule in the Magnolia State, Giger was atop the list with a 91.6 MPH fastball. He’s also listed on Perfect Game as an outfielder.
“Loose arm with whip. Developing secondary arsenal. Competitor,” Prep Baseball Mississippi said of the 6-0, 150-pound new Ole Miss commitment.

Perfect Game Deep South pegged him in June as a Power Four commitment and that proved to be true.
“Cooper Giger (‘27 MS) Loose flowing stroke w/ low tension release. Super projectable with FB qual & command that stands out for the age. 87-90 w/ running life. Sweeping slider has produced uncomfortable swings 74-76. Future P4 arm.”
That makes four commitments by our count for Ole Miss in 2027 with Rylan Sutton, Braydin Jones and Quincy Pratt.
