4-star WR Corey Barber commits to Ole Miss
2026 Hoover (Ala.) Spain Park wide receiver Corey Barber has committed to Ole Miss, shortly after his official visit to Oxford in late April. He’s the third wide receiver commit in the 2026 class for wide receivers coach George McDonald.
The four-star enjoyed his time around the Rebels as the strong relationships grew deeper, which helped seal the deal for him.
“The official visit was great. The relationships have always been great,” Barber told On3, “so now its like the Ole Miss staff treats me more like family.”
Ole Miss offensive coordinator Charlie Weis, Jr. in particular connected with him and the genuine nature of everyone in Oxford stuck out.
“I enjoyed getting to see the culture,” Barber said. “My 1-on-1 with coach Weis was great getting too see the way they could see me in their offense. The time I spent with the entire staff (stood out). Everyone is genuine!”

Weis and the rest of the offensive staff showed him a multitude of ways he could be used. Barber’s a part of a slew of top wide receivers McDonald’s recruiting for his position group.
“Different schemes, route trees, and multiple ways to get me open,” Barber said of what he saw.
Barber, Jr., previously had scheduled trips to Miami (Fla.) for May 30, Alabama (June 6), Tennessee (June 13) and Georgia (June 20). Instead, he’s now committed to the Rebels.
He’s On3’s No. 207 overall prospect in his class, as well as the No. 43 wide receiver and No. 13 player in Alabama. Barber, Jr., is the No. 30 wide receiver in the 2026 On300. He joins three-star prospects Zion Legree and Jameson Powell as commits for the position.
