#notcommitted: Rebel great Mike Espy's scouting report of four-star Ole Miss commit Ayden Williams

In this edition of #notcommitted, in association with the Ole Miss Spirit, an affiliate of On3.com, Zach Berry is joined by former Rebel wide receiver Mike Espy, who breaks down Ole Miss’ newest commitment, four-star wide receiver Ayden Williams.
Espy knows Williams better than anyone, having trained the blue-chip in-state recruit directly through his company, Espy Performance.
“I wouldn’t want to play against him,” Espy said. “He’s got the size (and) he’s got the speed. His favorite player is (NFL cornerback) Jalen Ramsey. I was like, ‘Why is your favorite player Jalen Ramsey?’ He said he feels he plays like that, but on the offensive side of the ball.
“He carries that type of energy onto the field. He’s a wide receiver that takes the game to the defense, as opposed to letting them come to him. He’s got great speed. For a guy his size, you wouldn’t think he has speed like that. But if you pull up the tape, he’s one that stands out. He’s going to catch a screen and he’s not going to fall down at two yards. More than likely, he’s going to get you twelve-plus, and possibly even a touchdown.
“He’ll run the short-to-intermediate routes. He’s very effective at that. He’ll get you first downs, and then he’ll pop the top off. He can go deep on you. What I love about him the most is he’ll get down in the red zone and the defense knows where the ball is going and it does not matter. You put that ball up, he’s going to go get it.
“What folks don’t really realize about him is he’s a dog on the defensive side, too. You can line him up at corner on your number-one receiver or he could play safety and be very effective, depending on what you need.”
