Bracket Watch: Ole Miss still on the outside of hosting in latest Field of 64 projections

Despite bouncing back last week going 3-1 and getting another Southeastern Conference series under its belt No. 23 Ole Miss did not manage to get back on the right side of the hosting conversation.
The newest NCAA Tournament projections have the Rebels (32-13, 12-9 SEC) firmly in the Field of 64 but still not back among the 16 National Seeds to host a regional next month.
Both Baseball America and D1Baseball continued to have Ole Miss as a 2 Seed in someone else’s regional on Wednesday but differed when it came to which one. The locations are similar with both on the East Coast, though.
Baseball America projected the Rebels to the Morgantown Regional with 10 National Seed West Virginia hosting. Rounding out the regional is Duke as the 3 Seed and Missouri State as the 4 Seed. The regional is paired with the Fayetteville Regional and 7 National Seed Arkansas.

In D1Baseball’s projections Ole Miss is the 2 Seed in the Raleigh Regional. Host team North Carolina State the No. 13 National Seed. Joining them is 3 Seed Connecticut and 4 Seed High Point. Another thing the two outlets agreed on in their respective projections was having the Fayetteville Regional match up in both. Though D1Baseball has Arkansas as the No. 4 National Seed.
The Rebels have three more weekends of SEC play before heading to Hoover, Alabama for the SEC Tournament. This week is a rematch of the 2022 Men’s College World Series Final as Ole Miss travels to No. 21 Oklahoma (30-13, 11-10), starting on Friday at 6:30 p.m. CT
