Less than 24 hours from No. 20 Ole Miss taking on Kentucky inside Kroger Field it was revealed some key players will be unavailable in the opening Southeastern Conference game of the 2025 season.

Friday’s player availability revealed that cornerback Jaylon Braxton and tight end Luke Hasz are listed as ‘Out’ for Saturday’s game against the Wildcats at 2:30 p.m. CT. on ABC.

Neither of the Arkansas transfers have made their Ole Miss debut, yet. Both Braxton and Hasz did not play against Georgia State in last week’s season opener. Braxton was suited up but Hasz was not.

There was a positive update to Friday’s report and it benefits the offensive line. Delano Townsend was not included, meaning he is available to play on Saturday and make his debut with the Rebels.

Cornerback Ricky Fletcher was still listed and ‘Questionable’ while wide receiver Caleb Cunningham was a ‘Probable.’ Cunningham was initially listed as ‘OUT’ on Wednesday but steadily improved his status through the week.

“Big-time SEC matchup. One that’s been very competitive, even before we got here,” Ole Miss head coach Lane Kiffin said on this week’s SEC Coaches Teleconference. “Games down to the wire. We’ve got to go play an extremely well-coached team that does a great job and plays very physical. Look how they started last year — beat us [and] right before has Georgia right down to the wire. Coach [Mark] Stoops does a great job with these guys. We’re going to have our hands full.”
