The first Southeastern Conference game of the 2025 football season features No. 20 Ole Miss as it travels to Lexington to take on Kentucky.

But just how healthy will the Rebels (1-0) be when they get to the Bluegrass state on Friday? The first SEC player availability report of the year on Wednesday shed some light on that question.

There were already a few key Ole Miss players absent from last Saturday’s season-opening win over Georgia State. Those would be corner back Jaylon Braxton, offensive lineman Delano Townsend and tight end Luke Hasz. All three transfer players are considered key pieces to the offense and defense’s success this season and getting them back sooner than later is going to help with three SEC games in the next four weeks.

Head coach Lane Kiffin did provide an update on Braxton when asked about the former Arkansas cornerback, stating it was a “medical situation” that kept Braxton out of the game against the Panthers.

Kiffin was more his usual coy self when asked the status of Hasz.

“Yeah, I have some thoughts,” Kiffin said. “You know what this answer is going to be. Hopefully he’ll play this week. He’s working his way back.”

Wednesday’s report does not provide much hope for Hasz, though. He is listed as ‘Out’ along with wide receivers Caleb Cunningham and Traylon Ray.

Braxton and Townsend are listed as ‘Questionable’ along with defensive backs Ricky Fletcher and Dante Core and starting tight end Dae’Quan Wright.
