Jaxson Dart named First Team All-SEC by league coaches, leads nine Ole Miss players

The postseason accolades are starting to roll in and Ole Miss is once again earning a lot of them.
On Tuesday the Southeastern Conference announced its All-SEC Coaches Teams as selected by the 16 league coaches. Jaxson Dart earned something that has been done by an Ole Miss quarterback in eight years.
Dart was named First Team All-SEC quarterback, leading a group of nine Rebels to make it on one of the three teams. This is the first time an Ole Miss quarterback has earned First Team All-SEC honors by the conference or any publication since Chad Kelly was named First Team by Pro Football Focus in 2016.
Walter Nolen, Princely Umanielen, Trey Amos, Chris ‘Pooh’ Paul, Jr., Tre Harris, Jared Ivey, Suntarine Perkins and JJ Pegues also earned All-SEC honors.
Nolen and Umanmielen were named to First Team Defense with the latter tying Tennessee’s James Pearce, Jr. Amos was named a First Team defensive back.
On Second Team Defense, Paul earned one of the three linebacker spots.
Harris was named All-SEC Third Team wide receiver while Ivey, Perkins and Pegues were named Third Team All-SEC defensive linemen.
