No. 4 Ole Miss returns to action this week against Washington State (3-2) for its third non-conference game of the season. What awaits after is the Southeastern Conference schedule that resumes next week with four opponents out of the following five games.

First ups is a trip to Athens to take on No. 10 Georgia on October 18, which now has a set kickoff time and television channel designation.

On Monday the SEC office announced TV times for the Week 8 slate of games. The Rebels (5-0, 3-0) and Bulldogs (4-1, 1-1) will kickoff at 2:30 p.m. CT on ABC

Earlier in the season Lane Kiffin eluded to such a scenario happening when talking about hosting LSU in the afternoon slot instead of Vaught-Hemingway Stadium getting a Top-15 SEC showdown in prime time.

“I told the (SEC) commissioner (Greg Sankey) here, we’re going to play LSU here and it’s gonna be a day game,” Kiffin said last month. “We’re gonna go down there and it’s gonna be at night. Just know what it’s gonna be. So is what it is. I’m sure we’ll be at night at Georgia, too. If you set it up that way, you won’t be upset when it happens.”

Two years ago Ole Miss traveled to Athens and played Georgia at 6 p.m. CT in Sanford Stadium. Last season when the Bulldogs traveled to Oxford it was a 2:30 p.m. CT kickoff.
