Kickoff time, TV coverage revealed for Ole Miss-LSU

The kickoff time and TV coverage for Ole Miss vs. LSU on Saturday, Sept. 27 was revealed by the SEC on Monday. The SEC game is set for 2:30 p.m. CT on ABC.
If Las Vegas is right this week with both teams being favored in their matchups, it’ll be a matchup of undefeated SEC teams that both reside in the Top 15 nationally.
The Rebels are coming off a 41-35 win over Arkansas last weekend in Oxford, but head coach Lane Kiffin wants to see some things cleaned up.
Notably, Ole Miss didn’t finish as well as he would’ve liked, but even more so, the Rebels defense gave up 522 total yards offense.
“Think the biggest thing off of slowing down with the film and the situations was just really wish we would have closed the game out,” Kiffin said Sunday night. “After watching the film, the plays are there to be made, especially when we’re up 10 with the ball (on 2nd down) and really wanted to go to 17 to make it a 3-score game and kind of put it out of reach and we don’t block the right guys on the 2nd down that’s going to score a touchdown, which forced us to kick a field goal there. I really wish we would have done that and it’d be a much different feeling to the end of the game going up 17 there.”

Ole Miss inserted quarterback Trinidad Chambliss into the starting lineup with Austin Simmons available, but injured. The move for Kiffin paid off as Chambliss finished with over 350 passing yards and a touchdown along with two touchdown on the ground and a team-leading 62 rushing yards.
LSU is coming off a 20-10 win over Florida on Saturday in Baton Rouge. The Tigers forced five interceptions off DJ Lagway to keep the Gators pinned down while the LSU offense just made enough plays to win.
This week, Ole Miss hosts Tulane at 2:30 p.m. CT on ESPN while the Tigers face Southeastern Louisiana at 6:45 p.m. CT on SEC Network.
