Malik Nabers, Jaxson Dart building relationship ahead of 2025 season with New York Giants

Former Ole Miss quarterback Jaxson Dart took the field for his first NFL training camp this week as his rookie year with the New York Giants approaches.
Star Giants wideout Malik Nabers spoke with the media Wednesday and expects big things with him and Dart. While not the starter, Dart’s made the effort to build a relationship with Nabers.
“It’s not really any different. Me and Dart, like you say with Tre, I got a good relationship with him,” Nabers said Wednesday. “Asked a lot of questions about Dart. Tre had a lot of great things to say. Dart is one of those guys who loves to be around his receivers for sure.”
Dart and Nabers have gone out to dinners, he reported, with hopes of that relationship growing on and off the field.
“We have a lot of conversations just getting to know each other,” Nabers said. “I think when it’s his time, we should be clicking on moving forward.”

Dart was a three-year starter at Ole Miss. He left Oxford as the program’s all-time leader in wins (28). He led Ole Miss to back-to-back 10-win seasons for the first time since the 60s.
In April, the Giants made Dart the first Rebel quarterback taken in the first round of the NFL Draft since Eli Manning in 2004. They landed him at No. 25 overall and he’s competing with Russell Wilson, Jameis Winston and Tommy DeVito in camp.
Dart’s excited to show what he can do in the New York offense.
“Having to go against our guys day in and day out has been some really good work. For me, something that’s going to carry over is my aggressiveness [and] ability to push the ball down the field. At the same time, I take care of the ball,” he said earlier this year. “You can look at my numbers year after year. I don’t turn the ball over a lot and I keep it on our side. Really excited to implement this offense more and more into some of my play style and whatnot. I’m really excited for the season.”
