Ole Miss Baseball landed a commitment from Missouri left-handed pitcher Wil Libbert on Sunday, he announced. Libbert is spending his summer in the Cape Cod League.

He’s with the Hyannis Harbor Hawks and is fresh off a start against Wareham Saturday evening in which he went four innings, giving up zero earned runs and struck out six.

Libbert is coming off his redshirt freshman season and threw more innings (53.2) than any Mizzou pitcher. He started 11 of his 14 total appearances and ended the year with a 6.04 ERA and 3-4 record.

He made his debut with the Tigers this year after undergoing Tommy John Surgery during his senior season of high school ball. Libbert will have three years of college eligibility left and will be eligible for the MLB Draft again following next season.
