The Flagship holds mirror to Mike Bianco and Ole Miss baseball
The Rebels finished the season at 27-29 overall and 11-20 in SEC play, including Tuesday’s loss, and lost the last six games of the year. Last season it was another sub .500 year at 25-29 and a historic 6-24 conference record.
Both seasons have worn on the fan base and players with the growing desire from the former to see change made at the top yesterday. Will that happen? There assuredly will be a decision made on Bianco’s future sooner than later.

On this edition of “The Flagship”, presented by College Corner, David Brandt of the AP joins to discuss Ole Miss baseball.
The longtime columnist who is very familiar with Bianco and Ole Miss baseball gives his take on the future of the program. We discuss next steps, what is most likely and what the issues are which led to back-to-back losing seasons since winning a national title.
Will athletics director Keith Carter move on from Bianco? Is it necessary to stabilize a once proud program? How would another losing season affect the program’s stature and Bianco’s legacy? All of that and more here.
