Ole Miss Baseball lands commitment from 2027 infielder Braydin Jones

Ole Miss Baseball landed one of the top infielders in the 2027 class when Braydin Jones, who also is a right-handed pitcher, announced his commitment to the Rebels. He’s ranked as a Top 500 prospect overall on Prep Baseball Tennessee.
Ranked on Perfect Game as a potential MLB Draft prospect, Jones attends the University School of Jackson. Now, he’s taking his talents from Tennessee to Mississippi.
“I am beyond blessed to announce my commitment to the University of Mississippi!,” Jones announced. “I want to thank our lord and savior Jesus Christ without him I wouldn’t be here. Secondly I want to thank my mom and my family for always believing in me and pushing me to be a better person and player. Finally I want to thank Coach Mangrum, Coach Lafferty, Coach Bianco and the rest of the staff for trusting in me! HOTTY TODDY!”
Perfect Game scouted him over the last few months and got a good look at what he can bring to Ole Miss.

“Braydin Jones (‘27 TN) into the upper 8s early and going to the SL early and often for S/M. Projectable 6-foot, 180 frame w/ clean hand break + quick arm through 3/4 release,” the tweet said.
“Braydin Jones (‘27 TN) sends a ball to CF for a double. Quick hands with good bat speed to drive it to the wall,” they added in July.
With Jones, Ole Miss added a raw pitching prospect who is comfortable as an infielder and at the plate.
