Ole Miss baseball part of six-team field in Astros Foundation College Classic

The 2025 college baseball season is barely a month old but Ole Miss already knows it will be back in Texas in the early part of the 2026 season.

On Tuesday it was announced the Rebels would be part of the six-team field for the Astros Foundation College Classic, taking place at Daikin Park in Houston. The tournament runs February 27 through March 1, 2026.

Baylor, Coastal Carolina, Ohio State, Texas and UTSA round out the announced tournament field. Three of those teams made it to this year’s NCAA Tournament. Ole Miss will play one team that made it to the College World Series in the Chanticleers.

Ole Miss will play the Bears on February 27 at 3:05 p.m. CT to start the weekend then the Buckeyes on February 28 at 11:05 a.m. CT. The Rebels close out the tournament against Coastal Carolina on March 1 at 10:05 a.m. CT.

Any broadcast information for the games will be announced at a later date as will on-sale dates for single game and three-day ticket sales.

For a second straight year the Rebels will play in Texas as part of a showcase tournament. They went 2-1 this past February at Globe Life Field in Arlington to kick off the season with wins over Clemson and Arizona, dropping a game to the Longhorns.

The 2025 season was a bounce-back for Ole Miss, getting back to the NCAA Tournament for the first time since winning the national title in 2022 and also hosted its first Regional for the first time in four years.

Ole Miss will announce the rest of its 2026 non-conference and Southeastern Conference schedule at a later date.
