The first month of the college football season is halfway complete and for No. 13 Ole Miss it is a perfect start.

Coming off the 41-35 win over Arkansas this past Saturday the Rebels are 2-0 in Southeastern Conference play and get a respite, of sorts, with Tulane coming to town this weekend.

“It’s good to get an SEC win but I don’t want to overlook that we’ve got to play better in some areas in order to keep winning,” Ole Miss head coach Lane Kiffin said on Sunday. “(Tulane) is a really, really good team coming here that I think should be ranked and with a great head coach and staff. We’ve played before and they do a great job, schematically, on defense. They play really hard and they tackle really well, which is kind of a lost art in college football in my opinion.”

Having that perfect 3-0 start to the year is not improving the bowl projections for Ole Miss, just yet, but more wins and that will happen. Especially if it can enter the first bye week on October 4 sitting at 5-0 and three SEC wins under its belt.

But the Week 4 projections are here and they are once against spread throughout the southeast for Ole Miss with two projections for Florida, two for North Carolina and one for Texas.
