LOOK: Ole Miss stars showed up and showed out for first-ever Celebrity Softball Game

Ole Miss athletics and RiverLand Roofing on Thursday put on the first-ever Ole Miss Celebrity Softball Game.
What a hit it was.
The Rebel stars came out and put on a show, from home run derby champion Will Allen, the Rebel baseball legend, to game MVP Bradley Sowell in a 7-4 Thrashers win over the Bombers.

Sowell, the former Rebel offensive lineman and eight-year NFL veteran, hit a pair of monster home runs.
The event was put on to raise money for the Grove Collective. Other participants included three sitting Ole Miss head coaches (Lane Kiffin, Chris Beard and Yolett McPhee-McCuin), all-time school greats Terence Davis (basketball) and Dexter McCluster (football), and football coordinators Pete Golding and Charlie Weis, Jr.
Ole Miss Spirit contributor Brad Logan is hearing some $100k was raised.
“It’s a blessing to be out here,” Davis said. Davis stopped by the RiverLand Roofing party deck during the home run derby. “I thought I’d never be in front of Ole Miss fans competing again. Man, here I am doing something fun. It’s a blessing, for sure.”
The included highlights and photos were provided by Ole Miss Athletics.
