Ole Miss safety Jadon Canady entered the NCAA transfer portal, according to a report from On3’s Pete Nakos on Thursday.

Canady is just wrapping up his junior season with the Rebels, a bit of a breakout campaign. He finished the year with 38 tackles, 2.5 tackles for a loss and 11 pass breakups. The Ole Miss defensive back spent two years in Oxford after transferring in from Tulane.

Canady was a standout at Tulane, too, though it took him a little time to get fully rolling at Ole Miss.

As a true freshman in 2021 with the Green Wave, Canady recorded 55 total tackles, which ranked fourth on the team. He played in seven games for Tulane the following year, recording 20 tackles and returning a fumble for a touchdown in a game against Houston.

As a recruit, Canady was ranked as a three-star prospect and the No. 1,289 overall recruit in the 2021 recruiting class. He checked in as the No. 115 cornerback in the class and the No. 160 overall player in the state of Florida, hailing from Jacksonville (FL) Sandalwood.
