Hit That Line: Now or never for Ole Miss + Week 4 locks
No. 15 Ole Miss (3-0) travels to No. 13 Alabama (2-1) for its SEC opener in a game that could be program-defining. Lane Kiffin is 0-4 against his former boss, Nick Saban, and this one might be his shot to get it done. Jaxson Dart has been lights out through the first three games of the year and defensive coordinator Pete Golding returning to his old stomping grounds has to be considered an edge.
The Crimson Tide will trot out Jalen Milroe at quarterback after the Tyler Buchner/Ty Simpson experiment failed miserably in last week’s 17-3 win over South Florida. What will Alabama’s game plan be, though? Will it be ground-and-pound like in 2021? Or will Saban cut Milroe loose and try to test the Ole Miss secondary?

But if Ole Miss is to get it done on Saturday, it will be something which has not happened a lot.
The Rebels, over that span, have two all-time wins in Tuscaloosa. The overall series record (10-57-2) isn’t much better. They’ve lost seven straight — their last win coming at Alabama in 2015.
Ole Miss is 3-10 in those games when both teams were/are ranked in the Top 25. The Rebels (3-0) head into the weekend No. 15 in the latest AP Top 25 poll. Alabama (2-1) is No. 13.

Unexpectedly, then, the Tide opened as a favorite, and the line has held all week. But the Rebels are arguably playing the better football of the two. Alabama already has one loss. The Crimson Tide has lost one or more games just eight times under legendary head coach Nick Saban.
