As he does every Tuesday, David Brandt of the Associated Press is here on the Talk of Champions podcast network for another episode of “Daytime Fireworks”. This week, No. 15 Ole Miss travels to No. 13 Alabama for a 2:30pm CT kickoff.

Lane Kiffin and Co. have been tested twice this season and passed with flying colors. Nick Saban and the Crimson Tide took an L against the Texas Longhorns two weeks ago and skirted by South Florida in a monsoon over the weekend.

How will this one go?

We take a deep look into the psyche of both Ole Miss and Alabama ahead of this week’s game at Bryant Denny Stadium. Ole Miss has a true identity and arguably the best quarterback in the Southeastern Conference. Alabama, on the other hand, has issues at quarterback and potentially issues in the locker room. A players only meeting was called earlier this week as Alabama searches for purpose and who they are.

David and I give our take on how we think this one goes and we give our predictions as well.

Elsewhere, we whip around the SEC and give our thoughts on the big-time intraconference matchups. Can Auburn find some magic on the road at Texas A&M? Will Kentucky finally catch its footing in Nashville? And what will happen in Columbia, S.C., as the Gamecocks host the reeling Mississippi State Bulldogs?
