In this edition of “Hit That Line”, the Legal Gambling Counsel sets the stage for another Separation Saturday in college football – including the Top 15 showdown between No. 8 Ole Miss and No. 13 Oklahoma.

But, first, the fellas had to discuss the coaching carousel in college football. The ride is spinning at an incredible rate and shows no signs of slowing down. And more might be on the way.

“I don’t think LSU comes open because they fire Brian Kelly,” Ben Woodhouse said. “It’s because he resets and goes to Penn State or somewhere like that.”

“I understand why if you’re an LSU fan you’re pissed you lost to Vanderbilt,” Austin Gray said. “But you’ve lost to two Top 10 teams. This is not Vandy from 15 years ago.”

But, the biggest story in the coaching carousel is Florida and its pursuit of Lane Kiffin.

Much of the Ole Miss fanbase is upset with the lack of solidarity from Lane Kiffin about Florida coming after him and his current standing in Oxford.

“These guys aren’t our coaches, Ole Miss coaches, no solace to us. Mike Elko didn’t exactly come out and say ‘I’m not going to Penn State’. Jedd Fisch didn’t say ‘I will be at Washington for the rest of my life’. Let’s take off the blinders for a second,” Gray said. “They have handled this in a manner similar to Lane Kiffin. We are not the only fanbase going through it right now.”

In fact, the LGC doesn’t even think Kiffin has broached the topic with his representation. There are bigger things being addressed right now. Namely the Top 15 matchup with the Sooners Saturday.

“It’s extremely likely the extent of any conversation about Florida has gone along the lines of Jimmy Sexton telling Lane Kiffin ‘hey the Florida job is open’ and Lane says ‘okay’,” Woodhouse said. “For Kiffin to be going through Zoom calls, text messages and other stuff to mobilize himself for the job. But right now Ole Miss is 6-1 with Oklahoma on deck and the CFP is in front of them…I just don’t think this whole suggestion he is going to go to Florida…he probably hasn’t even thought about it.”
