It is already Week 10, sheesh. But, the No. 7 Ole Miss Rebels (7-1, 4-1) are full steam ahead towards a CFP berth. This weekend, Lane Kiffin and Co., are hosting the South Carolina Gamecocks this weekend at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium. So, the Legal Gambling Counsel is breaking it all down and picking winners on the rest of the slate as well.

We also discuss the ridiculous echo chamber that is the Kiffin to [insert job here] rumors and rumblings people are desperately trying to create.

We all give our thoughts on the ridiculous narrative Kiffin would drop everything and head to either Florida or LSU once the season is over. Why does everyone think this and what do we actually think of each job? Also, shout out to our guy Brandon who joined the show and poked the proverbial beer.

Florida and LSU are not a shoe-in for Ole Miss head coach Lane Kiffin.

“The win against Oklahoma is going to put everyone in a bind if they’re trying to hire Lane Kiffin,” Ben Woodhouse said. “Assuming Ole Miss holds serve and wins all the games they are favored in, which is all of them remaining and Ole Miss makes a playoff and gets the 5-seed…or gets a bye…you can’t hire him. You’d be punting next year.

“I don’t see that as a possibility,” Woodhouse said. “It’s telling that (Eli) Drinkwitz became the betting favorite, into minus odds. Someone has been told something.”

“I’m looking at year-by-year, LSU is not that good until they’re really, really good one year. It happens every seven years,” Nicholas Carr said. “They’ve won 10 or more regular season games one time since 2012 and they won the national championship that year.”
