Ole Miss wanted to add a physical presence to its running back room. Jordon Simmons brings this.
Georgia, LSU, Michigan, Oregon, South Carolina, Nebraska, Florida State, Kentucky, West Virginia, Arkansas, Colorado, Maryland, Pitt, Louisville and Boston College, among others, offered Simmons. He ran for 1,093 yards on 154 carries (7.1 avg.) and 16 touchdowns to help lead McEachern (Ga.) to the Region 3-7A title and a 12-1 record as a senior in 2019.
Ole Miss landed four-star Shekai Mills-Knight on signing day and has added Missouri running back Kewan Lacy. The Rebels expect Logan Diggs back in 2025, but are wanting to add another experienced back.
Simmons has one year of eligibility left as a graduate transfer.
