Ole Miss handling Zxavian Harris' arrest as an 'internal matter'

Ole Miss is reviewing and monitoring the arrest of defensive tackle Zxavian Harris who was charged with several traffic violations, including DUI, last weekend.
In a release put out by Oxford Police Department on Wednesday officers responded to an apartment in the 100 block off Creekmore Boulevard on July 16 for a report of a vehicle doing burnouts in the parking lot. The vehicle then left the parking lot at a high rate of speed without headlights.
Shortly after, officers located the vehicle wrecked out. After an investigation, Harris was arrested and charged with Felony Fleeing, DUI, Reckless Driving, Minor in Possession, No Headlights, Running a Stop Sign.
Harris was taken to the Lafayette County Justice Court Judge for his initial bond hearing and issued $10,000 bond.
Ole Miss did not put out a statement following OPD’s release but on Thursday The Ole Miss Spirit asked head coach Lane Kiffin about Harris’ status.

“We’ve been on top of that. Those are internal matters,” Kiffin said. “When we get discipline and all the information in, we’ll go from there.”
Harris is part of a defensive line group that is a strong mix of returners and newcomers from the transfer portal. He is expected to be in the mix for the two-deep rotation at the nose tackle position with defensive coordinator Pete Golding making it a four-man line.
In his freshman season Harris played in 12 games and finished with three tackles with half a tackle for a loss.
