Ole Miss Injury Report: Matthew Murrell and Dre Davis' availability at Missouri uncertain

After two tough losses in a row No. 16 Ole Miss returns to the road with another Top 25 matchup at No. 22 Missouri on Saturday but could be without two key players.
On Friday’s initial availability report the Rebels listed Matthew Murrell and Dre Davis as ‘Questionable.’ Murrell has been battling a lower back injury of some kind all season and missed three games earlier this year. He exited Wednesday’s game for a brief time and returned after going to the locker room.
Murrell is currently the team’s third-leading scorer with 11.3 points and 3.2 rebounds per game. He has 32 assists on the year.
The extent of Davis’ injury, or issue, is not known at this time. He is averaging 9.5 points and 4.7 rebounds per game. The Seton Hall transfer has played and started in 18 games.

Going to Columbia short-handed two starters would be a tough task for second-year head coach Chris Beard and the Rebels. Through the first four conference games Ole Miss was without Mikeal Brown-Jones who was out dealing with a concussion and returned last Saturday against Mississippi State.
There was one player on the Tigers initial availability report.
Center Trent Burns was listed as ‘Out,’ but has been unavailable all season. The freshman has been dealing with a preseason foot injury and not played in a game.
Ole Miss (15-4, 4-2 Southeastern Conference) and Missouri (15-4, 4-2) will tip off at 5 p.m. CT on SEC Network. The Tiger are currently 2.5-point favorites after coming off a loss at Texas earlier this week.
