Revenge at Kentucky, Egg Bowl on ABC among 2025 Ole Miss kickoff reveals

Kickoff times for the 2025 Ole Miss football season have been released. 

Well, mostly. 

Some kickoff ranges are known, but exact times haven’t been finalized. The Rebels open against Georgia State on August 30 at 6:45 p.m. 

SEC Network has the broadcast, as it does for at least four other games. 

ABC is carrying Ole Miss’ revenge effort at Kentucky on September 6 at 2:30 p.m. CT. The Rebels last season won 10 games for the third time in four years. However, they fell just short of the College Football Playoff. The ugliest mark on their resume was a 20-17 loss to the Wildcats in Oxford last September.

Arkansas in Oxford will be at either 6 p.m. CT or 6:45 p.m. CT on ESPN or the SEC Network. Those three games, however, were set in May.

Tulane as a flex is new.

Ole Miss hosts the Green Wave on September 20 in either the afternoon (2:30-3:30 p.m.) or night (5-7 p.m.). The annual Magnolia Bowl against LSU (September 27) will take place in the flex window (2:30-3:30 p.m. or 5-7 p.m). However, it’s TBA as far as TV. 

The Ole Miss bye week is followed by the first-ever game against Washington State (October 11) at 11:45 a.m. on SEC Network. Ole Miss at Georgia (October 18) is in the flex window (2:30-3:30 p.m. or 5-7 p.m.). The Rebels knocked off the then-ranked No. 3 Bulldogs, 28-10, in Oxford last season. 

New Rebel quarterback Austin Simmons got the most playing time of his career to date in the win. He replaced an injured Jaxson Dart and with Ole Miss trailing 7-0 after Georgia cashed in a Dart interception.

Simmons impressively engineered a game-tying touchdown march. He completed five of his six passes for 64 yards.

“Austin Simmons did a great job coming in,” now-sixth-year Ole Miss head coach Lane Kiffin said after the game. Simmons, a redshirt sophomore, has already graduated. 

“We told him, ‘We’re going to run the game plan and throw with you. Not going to be one of the back-up quarterbacks who just hands off.’ He did a great job.”

Ole Miss is at Oklahoma on October 25. 

The Rebels’ first-ever trip to Norman will kick off early (11 a.m./Noon). South Carolina comes to town November 1 in the flex window (2:30-3:30 p.m. OR 5-7 p.m). The Rebels welcome The Citadel November 8 on ESPN+/SECN+.

Florida rolls into Oxford for just the third time in 20 years on November 15 and in the flex window (2:30-3:30 p.m. or 5-7 p.m.). The Gators upset the Rebels in the Swamp last fall, costing Ole Miss a CFP berth.

Ole Miss wraps the 2025-26 regular season — as the Rebels always do — with in-state rival Mississippi State in the Egg Bowl. Kickoff is 11 a.m. CT on ABC or ESPN.
