Must-See Highlights: Ole Miss pulls off legendary comeback in Red Stick

No. 25 Ole Miss basketball picked up its fourth double-digit comeback of the 2024-25 season and averted disaster with a last-second win at LSU on Saturday.
The Rebels trailed by 11 with 2:52 remaining but used a 15-2 run, including a Dre Davis put-back with 0.1 seconds left, to secure a 72-70 win. Ole Miss improved to 18-6 (7-4 SEC), while LSU fell to 12-11 (1-9).
“We were just trying to get a shot on the rim,” Davis said of his decisive tip-in. Davis scored a season-high 22 points, including 14 in the second half.
“Obviously we were in the bonus, so just trying to get Sean Pedulla downhill. I thought he had a good look, tried to get fouled, didn’t go our way. Just tried to give a second effort and it worked out in our way.”

Davis added seven rebounds. The Rebels trailed by six at halftime.
“We just did a good job of staying with each other and staying together as a team,” Davis said. “Obviously we came out a little flat, but we just kept fighting.
“We’re some dogs. Always underrated, but at the end of the day we’re gritty. Play hard, tenacity on defense and trying to do anything we can do to get the win.”
Ole Miss next trips to South Carolina (10-13, 0-10) on Wednesday, February 12. Tipoff is set for 6 p.m. CT on SEC Network. The included highlights were provided by Ole Miss Athletics.
